I feel like I’ve heard of this before but I can’t seem to find anything online… basically I want to buy my partner’s parents a present - an interactive photo frame where my partner and I can upload photos and they can view them via their frame at their home. They always want the latest photos of our children but we don’t always get a chance to send them through or remember to do it so I’m thinking this is the best way! Does anyone have one of these and if so are they any good?

Amazon show allows you yo do this and you can change the photos as often as you like or it displays a number of photos in rotation

If you type Digital Photo frame on Amazon I think that's what you are looking for, unless I have misunderstood?

twobabiesandapup · 26/10/2025 14:42

Thanks both, @tragichero yes kind of only I wasn’t seeing any option of being able to program it to access a select number of photos, or photos from a specific album. Maybe they all just do this though and I’m behind the times!

You select favourites and that’s what’s shown

I gave my parents a Nixplay photo frame which allowed me to upload photos to albums on the Nixplay website and configure which would be shown on which device, or share Google photo albums directly with the frame.

This was many years ago, possibly even 10 years, and the frame went through several software upgrades. It continued in good working order with good quality images and was a great talking point when I rang to catch up.

We have bought my parent an Aura frame, which works well.

Modern Wi‑Fi photo frames do what you’re after. Models like the Aura Aspen let you upload photos in minutes via an app and invite relatives to add their own
Cheaper options such as the Aura Carver have smaller, lower‑resolution screens and only work in landscape mode
Frames like Loop accept photos via text message, which can be easier for tech‑averse family members

That’s really helpful thank you so much for your replies, I have a starting point now which is incredibly helpful!
