Looking for inspo for presents for 4 year old girl please! When I ask her what she wants she says she doesn’t know. I should be grateful I know because this won’t last!

I couldn’t find a post covering this already but if there is one please link it.

Duplo bricks! Hours of fun and keeps parents entertained too building rockets, towers and bridges :-)

MsBubbles85 · 21/10/2025 13:05

What is she into when she plays?
My DD is into Frozen, Cinderella and numberblocks. She has asked for the numberblock game, more Frozen dolls and a Cinderella one.

CrispieCake · 21/10/2025 13:06

My Fairy Garden. My cousin's DD loves these and even my 8yo used to have a little play when we were visiting and he thought no one was looking.

Potion-making kit.

lemonsherbert83 · 21/10/2025 13:06

Thanks so much for all the suggestions so far! She has so much already, which is a sign we need to buy her less for her birthday and throughout the year tbh, so all of the obvious stuff, she already has. I’d never heard of the guess in 10 games but just googled them and she’d love then! Also never thought to buy her twister but again, I think she’d love it! Exactly why I posted this question, thanks ☺️

@CrispieCake She loves the potion making kits! She got one for her birthday last month so I’ve got another for Christmas. I’m thinking of looking at buying the materials separately as I think it will become an expensive habit at £30 a pop!

Hooded owls do a gorgeous bath potion kit
Definitely kinetic sand - lots of different kits so if she already has it can try another kit
Magnetic tiles - again can buy lots of add ons
L.o.l. dolls.

MrsMAFs · 21/10/2025 13:21

lite.bright is good too

PlaydohClub · 21/10/2025 13:22

My DD is 6 but at that age, she was very similar, she wasn’t into anything in particular (like Disney or Barbie etc )but she did like building/making/decorating things, so we bought her a large playmobil house (2nd hand off eBay) it was incredible, came with all the furniture and garden stuff, a swimming pool and loads of little bits and bobs like kitchen stuff, miniature food and cooking utensils, it even had different working lights for each room. DD was absolutely thrilled, her face was a picture (we set it all up for her) she still plays with it now (as does little brother)

Other things - lots of arts and craft stuff, her own art box, a couple of scrap books, sketch book, stickers, different types of paper, paints etc

Lego With Friends (which she loves and it kick started her love for Lego)

Playdoh set - it was an ice cream maker one

Books including sticker books and puzzle one, we got her a few of those wipe clean ones too for practising letters and numbers ( Aldi usually do good ones)

A couple of fun board games and jigsaw puzzles - stuff we could play with together

CrispieCake · 21/10/2025 13:45

I like the idea of bath potion kits, so you can wash the mess down the plug-hole at the end.

lemonsherbert83 · 21/10/2025 13:58

@CrispieCake @MrsMAFs Yes, these look great! Fab for presents for friends kids too

Take her to see Santa

PiglinBland · 23/10/2025 09:07

My 4 year old loves the little live pets, she got the penguin for her birthday and it was a massive hit - she's going to ask Father Christmas for the Koala next.

Birlingsaresnobs · 23/10/2025 09:17

Do you think stuff makes people happy?

Ramona75 · 23/10/2025 09:19

Do you think stuff makes people happy?

It makes kids happy although too many presents is a bad idea. They just open 1, chuck it to one side then NEXT… the impact of the presents then gets diluted.

Less is more appreciation.

Birlingsaresnobs · 23/10/2025 09:17

Do you think stuff makes people happy?

Walking into a room to discover that Father Christmas has been makes a four year old happy.

She’s just asking for suggestions, not how to spend as much money as she possibly can.

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/10/2025 18:18

My dds loved fairy wings and a fairy wand at that age and the melissa and doug ice cream set.

The story orcestra books are beautiful for this age too. The nutcracker is really lovely

Do you think stuff makes people happy?

Yeah, it makes my kids pretty happy. Having a whole pile of presents to unwrap on Christmas morning makes most children happy.

Then a bigger pile, then a haul, then a bigger haul. Then a lorry load and a haul.
Then pics of the lorry load.

LifeSucksBigFatBalls · 24/10/2025 03:30

There will be plenty of Christmas adverts soon. She will soon have a list :)
