Have recently gone vegetarian and wondering if anyone has good Christmas recipes/ideas? We won't be cooking for Christmas dinner itself but looking for any nice festive meal/nibble suggestions

I like this for a light meal around Christmas time.

I think there might have been a veggie Christmas thread last year if you use the search bar, lots of good ideas there, just need to dig it out 😅

Delia Smith vegetarian sausage rolls are delish! Even the meat eaters in my house devour them!

I’m the only vegetarian in our family so I make halloumi wrapped in vegi bacon and have those with all the trimmings of the roast.

I made croustade of mushrooms a couple of times. It’s a Rose Eliot recipe. It’s like a quiche, but the base is made of breadcrumbs, nuts, garlic and butter then baked like a pastry case. The original recipe cooks mushrooms and mixes them with a bechamel sauce but you can just add sour cream to the mushrooms, pour them over the base and bake again.

This is what the veggies in our family request every year:

https://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/ottolenghis-butternut-crunch-pie/ - this was really popular when I made it last Christmas

Also these are so delicious and easy to make. Using bread instead of pastry worked really well (I used a tip from the comments to roll the slices of bread a bit to make them slightly thinner) www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/caramelised-mushroom-tartlets

I also made this for Boxing Day and it was very tasty www.nigella.com/recipes/pumpkin-and-goat-s-cheese-lasagne

I've just got the Bosh! Meat book from the library and planning to make chicken. The recipe calls for plant based chicken bouillon powder - what do people use and where do you get it? I'm seeing Telma Chicken Bouillon which looks to be vegan. Anyone tried this? Thanks.
