Sainsbury's Delivery Slots For Christmas

Just a heads up that for delivery pass holders priority slots open on the 16th October, and the non pass holders, the 23rd October. Slots are for the 18th to the 24th December.

I found it on the actual Sainsbury's site, in the groceries section. I'll be honest, I can't actually say if I got an email ot not. It was in the early hours and I couldn't sleep so can't remember. 😂(Don't worry, I double cheked the dates when I wrote the OP.)

Ok, got the email through. It says 'Booking opens for you on the 16th October,' so perhaps they are doing different times for different areas, delivery passes, ect?

I'm 16 Oct too, with a Delivery Pass. I think that's standard. I saw it on the app before I got the email.

Thank you. I’ll put this in my diary. I don’t have a delivery pass and so whenever I’ve remembered in the past to do a Christmas order all the booking slots are usually gone. I’ll go in on the 23rd October and see if there are any slots

Slots are open for delivery pass holders now. Took me 12 minutes for the Christmas delivery slots to load! Hopefully there's less traffic now.

I had already placed an order for late Oct which I just had to change the date of, so it took 30 seconds to then move it to 23 Dec. Sorted!

Thanks for the reminder. I was too late last year, just booked a slot for 23rd and there is still availability for every time slot in my area. One less thing to worry about.

I woke up just after midnight and booked mine for 23rd. I don’t like leaving things until 24th incase not everything is delivered as I don’t want to have to go out on 24th to pick anything up. I was surprised to see all of the slots for the evening on the 24th are fully booked. Not sure I would be brave enough to have a delivery arriving after the shops have closed.

@Allthingsthey are not fully booked on the evening of the 24th Sainsburys stop delivering early as it is Christmas Eve!

Thanks - have a pass but not seen an email - got the 23rd too. There was plenty of availability on the 24th too but I like to have a day in between just in case of delivery issues or poor substitutions!

@MrsCookieCat ah I see what you mean. I thought it was strange that there was much a demand at that time of day! Although it would make more sense to just grey out the slots rather than say fully booked.

Did mine. One for afternoon of 23rd at my dad's and one for me on 22nd as we are not sure where we are spending Christmas yet so can cancel one if not needed. Never seen the point of doing it on 24th. Food keeps for a few days!

This is probably a silly question, but can you book two slots in the Christmas time frame and then cancel one nearer the time? I’m not quite sure of our plans yet and that would impact which date is best to have my delivery.
