Hi! I know Christmas is still a while away, but we're doing this new thing this year where we are doing a £10 gift challenge for each person in a house (like a secret Santa but we buy per household, as we have the same number per household). I need ideas for all ages £10 maximum per person. Any ideas?

In my house we are all giving me £10 each and letting me buy all the presents, as it's easier for them and I love buying gifts!!

Sorry forgot to mention! There's 5 children I need to work out boy 9, girl 9, boy 11, boy 16, boy 18. The parents I think I am just going to do a £10 Costa voucher each! So there's £50 to use between the 5 children

Something that would make a good gift for everyone:
Advent calendars with chocolates
Coloring calendars (you can choose more detailed pictures for adults and easier ones for younger kids)
Mini waffle maker(s), I've got the one from Dash last year and I love it
Snack boxes filled with their favorite snacks
Gloves or mittens, could be funny socks
Jigsaw puzzle (again, adults' options might be more difficult that the ones for the kids)
Posh stationery

For an 11yo boy:
Brick On mug
Harry Potter 3d model kit
Bop It
Perplexus Go

The Entertainer have quite a lot of things that might be good for the kids in their clearance section now. I always pick some stuff up for Christmas a bit early for financial reasons.

Honestly I think the parents are right, the teens would definitely prefer a Costa voucher over a gift they will likely never use.

The 9yos may like actual gifts but unless it’s something they love then even then I’d be looking at gift cards, maybe robux or similar. By 9yo most kids have grown out of generic gifts and are wanting specific things. My DDs at 9yo one would have loved Harry Potter, science or her favourite author to read, the other makeup, accessories…

I know buying and giving gifts is fun, I love buying too, but you have to think what the recipient would actually want. I’d never give a teen or preteen a gift unless it’s specifically asked for, it’s 100% cash or appropriate gift cards, and not ones they have to add money to to get anything decent.
