Defrost turkey crown help

Hi,

Thanks for reading.

I think I messed up. I bought a frozen turkey crown and for some reason thought you had to leave it on kitchen sink countertop to defrost!! 6 hours later saw you don't do this and put it in the fridge straightaway.

Question is though, am I too late and I need to dump it otherwise I'll make us all sick??

Thanks again for your help.

Not an expert but I think you will be fine. Cook it very well which would kill off any bacteria anyway. Unless your kitchen is a sauna (doubt it this time of year) it will just have defrosted slightly quicker than if it had gone in the fridge.

Thanks. I thought so myself. Just when I saw an online article that once it went above 5°C it was too dangerous and as the kitchen was appox 18°C I thought best to get a second opinion as i don't want to start 2025 off with food poisoning. Thanks again
