Is anyone else suffering?
I love the Christmas hype so much, I love all the shows like strictly and I'm a celeb and this year was even more special as it was my turn to have my two sons wake up with me on Xmas day and not my exH.
Xmas morning was so lovely, but then the boys crashed (tired and probably overwhelmed) and then they had to go to their dads after an intense afternoon!

I just feel very..... urgh today. Christmas just comes and goes so quickly. It's like Xmas eve is full on Christmas, and then two days later it's like a distant memory!

I'm aware I need to get a grip 🙈 Is anyone else feeling a bit bluergh today?

Lovely thread. I agree op but also with the pro January poster. Love all the months except Feb- March. Those are tough.

They are the hardest months.

I do big indoor jobs, declutter wardrobes, charity shop, tip runs, rearrange or paint rooms so they are out of the way before the blossom and sunshine turn up

You can start planting seeds in February
Broad beans and sweet peas fare well being started early.

Me. I hate January and my depression always gets very bad after Christmas, every year without fail

@frozendaisy couldn't agree more! We have 'Christmas' things that will be boxed up on twelfth night but I still keep a string of fairy lights in the living room and enjoy the warm glow from candles I pack away the Christmas candles but have candles on the table at dinner until it's light outside in the evenings.

No plans to make another Christmas cake(!) but we can still enjoy seasonal winter food and wrapping up for outdoor walks. I'm going to adopt your approach to capturing things that we've enjoyed over the last few weeks and making them part of what we do. Valuing time together regardless of how we spend it.

How is everyone feeling this side of new year? Hard to believe Christmas was only a week ago! I'm feeling it today 🙈 I took my tree down yesterday as I'm not home for new year and didn't want to have to do it after new year. Everyone is posting on my socials about all their holidays they have booked for this year (who knew so many people could afford 3/4 holidays a year?!?! Jealous much!!) and at our nye gathering last night everyone was talking about being back on the diets today.
This is what I dread. This sudden turn of motivation stresses me out 🙈 I'm aware that this is a 'me' problem.... but yeah. It feels like a lot!!!

Happy new year everyone 😂😂🥳✨
