Goats cheese

Maybe TMI, but I am mourning goats cheese.

Love goats cheese, have it very rarely as there's only me who likes it, so when I do it's usually in small amounts (and I'm talking like once a year on a pizza or on some crackers).

Been out for lunch today - goats cheese , wild mushroom and spinach pasta with Parmesan. Very strong tasting goats cheese, could only eat half. 20 minutes later it literally went straight through me. Been fine since so I'm assuming it was just far too rich for me.

Any other cheese I may enjoy that are similar but not as rich?

Personally I don't care for goats cheese. It often has that musky, goats urine back taste and sometimes smell too. I grew up with goats (as in we kept them!) so maybe I'm more sensitive than some people. You could try a sheep's milk cheese such as Pave Cobble made in Somerset which has the creamy, tangyness of goats cheese but you do have to order it online.

Maybe it was off?
especially if you’re usually fine with it.

Maybe it was the wild mushrooms?
