Hi all, I need some advice. My 12yo dd who has never shown an interest in branded clothing previously has said she’d like a White Fox hoodie. I just want to know are they worth it? I have bought branded hoodies in general in the past and found them to be not worth the price.

If they are worth it, is it best to buy direct from the White Fox website or elsewhere?

I don’t need it in time for Christmas, she’s got her presents but she dose need new clothes after a big growth spurt so I’m taking her shopping in the new year.

Im posting on Christmas as I know many of you buy branded clothes as Christmas presents. TIA x

My daughter likes hers. They seem to be good quality and comfy. I bought directly from WhiteFox (I think they now have a UK outlet)

Think they're a bit dated now. Most of the kids got them a couple of years ago and have moved on. I've even seen quite a lot of the mums wearing them now at the school gate.

My dd 12 has got the tracksuit for Christmas I've opened it to wrap and was pleasantly surprised it's good quality material and looks lovely

They’re comfy and good quality, but no different to other comfy and good quality hoodies you could buy for £15. You’re clearly paying for the brand name so it’s up to you whether you want to pay the extra for that. Given that it’s Xmas and you can presumably afford it then I’d just treat her, surely that’s what Xmas is for 🤷🏼‍♀️

Depends where you’re from I suppose. I’m in Liverpool and they’re 100% still fashionable here, and definitely just for teens. The most popular market in the city centre got raided yesterday for fake white fox clothes, there’s a huge market for fake’s here as they’re still so popular

DD(9) asked for one, she’s super sporty and loves her trackies. I looked at the website and honestly they look so tacky that I couldn’t bring myself to get her one. Tbh it’s not the clothes themselves as much as the models / pics that make them look cheap and tacky, but if that’s the look they’re aiming for then I’m out and if DD wants one she can buy it with her own money!!

I think they're on the verge of 'done' to teens, as before it was more 13-25yo wearing them, now I'm seeing Y6 girls and their mums in the hoodies. Not saying that actually makes them unfashionable, obv, but god forbid your mum wears the same brand as you!

Though they are a decent thickness the longevity/washability of the prints can be variable, so maybe check Vinted after the inevitable Christmas rush, as I know last year plenty of MNetters were sticking unwanted brand-new ones on there. Also, the actual site does discounts frequently, definitely don't pay full price for one!

My dd16 loves hers. I bought it direct from WF for last Christmas. They are excellent quality and wash well.

Agree - my dd has worn hers to death and it still washes well so she has got 2 more for xmas

Dd 18 is having one - she loves how they feel

TheTigerWhoCameToEatMyArsehole · 20/12/2024 23:47

Hahaha I wear my daughters she is 12 😂. I was really surprised at the quality.

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 21/12/2024 14:55

She’s already got a lot for Christmas. We are buying her necessities I.e clothes that fit. Has she asked for the hoodie earlier I’d have happily bought for Christmas, but this will be something extra. I don’t mind pushing the budget if the hoodie is good quality.

DD got one about 18 months ago. I had my reservations about the quality before ordering but was impressed when it arrived. They wash well and hers is still in great condition.
They're still popular with teenagers in Manchester.
