Marks and Spencer shortbread projection tree

Really pleased to find one in store this morning but I've got it home and damned if I can get it to switch on! Anyone had any luck or do I have a dead one?

The button on the tip. I was disappointed it projects downward - I was expecting an upward projection.

I tried the switch, but no joy until I wiggled it about quite a bit and then it worked. At least I can scoff the shortbread now seeing as I don't need to take it back.

I thought it was a disappointingly small portion of shortbread too !

There were loads in my local all reduced as it's a bit of a disappointment!

I was so disappointed with mine! Are you sure it's not working? It projects downwards so it needs to be quite dark to see it. Load of rubbish!

I just bought a tin of shortbread, only by accident did I realise weeks later that it projected, so I am well chuffed! I still haven't told the kids!

Could one of you post a photo ? I fancy one of these

I was given one as a gift yesterday. The switch is on the top and you can only see the light projection (which is downwards only) when you've removed the bag of shortbread. It is quite dim and disappointing so I can understand why they have been reduced.

I was given one at work and we were equally disappointed. Hope the shortbread is nice at least.

Thanks all. I clearly got one with a dicky switch, as it takes a few goes to get it working, but the shortbread is tasty and I have found a spot for the tin where the projection is clearly visible.
it is a little underwhelming so I'm glad I didn't pay full price at least.
