Ds12 weird last minute present request

Last night ds asked if it was too late to add something else to his present list. And asked for a bamboo duvet and pillow. Strange boy. Then he gave me a huge list of the benefits of bamboo duvets and said it's the one thing he really wants now.

A quick online search suggests that bamboo duvets are actually quite expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations? Are they actually worth it? And why on earth has my 12 yr old son requested one for Christmas? Why doesn't he want lego or Xbox games like normal kids?

That was going to be my question @Cat5689 whether he wanted just the covers or an actual duvet and pillow. I can't imagine you would get the bamboo benefits if you then put normal covers on them but I have no idea

Yeah I guess he won't get the full benefit. But he's 12, how much benefit does he need, or will he even notice?

I think a duvet cover is the way to go, if I can even find one with a week's notice. If not we can just look for some new bedding in the sales.

Strangely enough, I was just looking at his pillows last time I changed the sheets and thought they were looking a bit flat and sad. Maybe he read my mind.

Mine just wants an electric blanket. Seems like teen boys are all into their comfort these days

I got a bamboo pillow and duvet in TK Maxx years ago - I'm sure they regularly have them in. Worth a look if you have one nearby.

I’m sorry I don’t have anything useful to add but as a mother to a boisterous 7 year old boy, it really made me smile to read that teens/tweens are into bedding/blankets/comfy sleeping. I hope mine is the same at that age. I hope you manage to find what he’s after OP.
