Australian Christmas Presents

My sister has moved to Australia, it's her first Christmas there and is feeling a bit down without family. I wanted to send her a little Christmas pick me up but I'm struggling to find anywhere that isn't break the bank expensive. She hasn't got any decorations up. I found an Australian florist that does mini Christmas trees (and we are talking mini) and it is coming up at 129AUD which seems ridiculous.

Would anyone be able to give me some advice as the were I could send something Christmas related that won't break the bank?

Thank you :)

Amazon Australia. Don't forget to change the delivery area before you start searching for things. And 1AUD = 50p, so prices always look worse than they are.

Whereabouts in Australia is she

Can you get some photo ornaments of her family to hang up?

Amazon Australia delivery is really variable so make sure if you're ordering there that it's clearly marked "deliver before Christmas."

Most places you will be better ordering from a local place rather than a national brand - I've always done well with the local florist, cake place etc rather than anything that is part of a big chain or brand.

Australia is expensive though. Last week it was quicker and cheaper for me to send something from Amazon UK including the expedited delivery than it would have been to buy the same product in Australia.

Amazon back home is not as good as here in UK. Its the one thing I'd miss if I went back.
It might not arrive in time but my sister sent me aussie xmas tree ornaments one year and I love them so much so maybe some Uk themes ones for her aussie tree (she will have to get one then or hang them somewhere).
You could send a selection box as we don't have those back in Oz (or I'd never heard of them until I came here). You could look for one of the many british food stores - like this type Best of British | Largest Irish and British Food Shop Australia. Not saying that one is any good, its just an example

this one has selection boxes (but they might melt) CHRISTMAS 2024
