Cook Christmas Dinner for 3 - which bundle?

Anyone tried the Cook bundles for Christmas dinner? Are they any good?

We are 3 adults but they've run out of the meal for 4. Shall I get the one for 2 people or 2 x 2-people? The one for 8 seems too much.

Hmm actually maybe scrap this. I think maybe buy turkey separately...

I've just ordered the meal for four. Love cook's food but not had Christmas lunch before but I'm sure it will be fine.

Sorry OP but we had some sides a couple of years back (for ease, I was 9mth preg with twins lol) and they were bloody awful.

Thanks for this. I'm really interested to know bad, too. The meal for 4 is sold out & the video for the meal for 2 doesn't make it look very appetising imho.

I ordered Christmas bundle for 2 a couple of years ago. Everything was disgusting. All went in the bin.

Oh no! How? The meat or other things?

I think it's a bit late now - mine came yesterday and I think that was the latest delivery day.

Yeah I didn't want to be the one with the bad news but as PP has said it, I can confirm we also binned their stuff.

Marks was marginally better. You really are better off just doing your own.

Just got to M&S and buy everything pre-made

Yes maybe that's better - or will do everything myself

I think you could do it far better yourself op. Make life easy and buy disposable trays and buy goose fat for the potatoes. I just steam the Brussels. Buy bistro best chicken gravy and use some of the juices. I always buy croquettes from m&s

Mine has just arrived. We've had cook meals before but not this but for less than £100 when I've not had to queue it works for me.

I'll report back after Christmas!

Ooh now that looks tempting! Is that the meal for 8?

Ah it's for 4 and you've added puddings. Maybe not as impressive! But the ease is sooo tempting.

@MagicPen it's for four and I added cauliflower cheese and the desserts.

Cerialkiller · 15/12/2024 14:42

If you are trying to make the day easier for yourself I would just buy all the components ready made. Red cabbage. Frozen roast potatoes, ready made pigs in blankets, gravy, nice dessert. then you just need to wack a chicken in the oven for an hour and boil the sprouts at the end. Probably work out cheaper and imo taste better.
