This is one of my favourite categories of gift, and the possibilities are endless.

I wondered if anyone had ideas for things in this category?
So far I've got:

  • really nice nail clippers (current ones are blunt)
  • a little slotted spoon for food prep
  • a new set of fire gloves
  • one of those l'occitane keys
  • a skincare hairband and towelling cuffs.

These are for a mixture of people!

Thanks for these ideas. Do you have a particular recommendation for fire gloves? Wondering if welding gloves would work?

I'm not saying these aren't useful and worth having but, if I got any of these as a gift, I'd be very disappointed

Forgottenmyphone · 09/12/2024 11:33

Boot jack
Apple slicer
Pot watcher/steam vent
AirTag

BlackBean2023 · 09/12/2024 14:56

I'm concerned that the OP is a well meaning husband about to buy his wife a 'useful' gift.

OP, if you are my husband, I do not want a spatula.

Cinnamore · 09/12/2024 15:46

Great suggestions all!

Ha I'm not a husband, but some are for my husband! Obviously they're not the only gifts, personally I'd rather have something useful than something generic I didn't need.

I'll be honest, I picked the ones with the best reviews from amazon!

A small spatula for getting the last bits out of a jar

My mum got us some of these years ago and we use them so often. Very handy (particularly for nut butter!)
