Coffee Pod Machines

Hi all, my elderly parents are after a coffee Pod machine, mainly for convenience, and to take away the milk frothing element they have with their old Nespresso machine.

Therefore this would be mainly for cappuccinos and lattes. They do not take sugar on their coffees usually.

We have a dolce gusto at home but we only use for Americanos, as the milk pods for cappuccinos are already sweetened, which is awful if you don't usually take sugar!

Are there any pod machines which do caps/lattes which are unsweetened? .I've been through the internet but no joy.

Thanks, Alison.

Hmm, I think the milk frothing thing with the nespresso is the main benefit of it. Otherwise you have horrible powdered milk in a pod. They’re nowhere near as nice. And I think generally are sweetened. Are they physically struggling with the frother?

Hiya, not particularly struggling physically just finding it a faff and an extra thing to wash up. Basically just being a bit lazy!

We have the Lavazza Desea. Family love it and the pods can be commercially composted so can go in your food caddy. Hot & cold milky coffees are really easy to make.
I signed up to the subscription service via Lavazza where you can buy the machine for £1. There's not a massive range of flavours as there is with Nespresso and no alternative pod providers. However, it suits our needs perfectly.

I've got a Bosch Tassimo machine. It's the happy or suny one, can't remember which bit the Costa and kenco cappuccino pods are definitely not sweetened. I also hate a sweet coffee. The machine was £40 from Tassimo online. They also do bundle deals too so you can get them cheaper. Hope that helps
