Stocking for elderly relative

I’m going to visit my mum before Christmas and deliver her stocking (don’t worry she has been invited for Christmas Day but wants to spend the day on her own as she finds Christmas very stressful due to historic events).

She is 81 reasonably fit but has open heart surgery 9 months ago. Very little appetite ands has pretty much everything she wants/needs and is actively trying to declutter.

Any suggestions, as the usual smellies, chocolate etc won’t really work.

Does she have any particular likes or dislikes? Any budget?
Brain training quizzes/sudoku
Book - maybe a biography of someone she likes
Sleep mask with padding around the eyes - useful if she finds herself waking up at odd times
Audible gift subscription
Super soft bamboo socks
If she likes gardening… some wildflower bombs or a kneeling pad
Pretty notepad/diary
Small, daily pill box that fits in her bag when out and about - some pretty ones around
Nice water bottle or portable hot cup
handmade vouchers for time to spend with Different family members doing something she likes?
Book of local walks
Favourite tea/coffee/herbal tea
digital photo keyring

Vouchers for experience have gone down like a lead balloon previously! Got her super soft socks post operation, she doesn’t have a bath (walk in shower) so no bubbles, she like her garden but isn’t healthy enough to do much there, concentration levels went way down hill post surgery so puzzle books out.

She is always very hard to buy for (and very bah humbug) but this year is extra hard! I’m sewing her a top, which I hope she will like but is the stocking that is a complete stumper!

You can get glasses cleaning clothes (eyeglasses, I mean) which can have digital photos printed onto them. Do you have any funny family ones she might like?

Gadgets for making it easy to open stiff jar tops?
Egg poacher for microwave

Head torch or beanie with LED light in it, for putting out bins on dark evenings.

Personalised glasses cleaning cloth is a good idea.

One of those bird feeders that attaches to the window might be nice if she finds it hard to get out.

Photo cube

Hand warmers

Magnifying glass
Puzzle book (large text one if required)
'Treats' from M&S - you said she doesn't have much of an appetite, but could be some sweets/biscuits she may like
Paperback book if she reads
Agree with hand warmers - you can get reheatable ones
Favourite tea or coffee?
