Nice apron for MIL

My MIL has asked for an apron for Christmas. They are not short of cash but she doesn't really spend on herself, so I'd like to get her a decent one.

There's an independent maker near me who makes amazing workwear aprons with a crossover back but they are a bit too spendy at £120.

Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative? An independent business would be great but it's not a deal breaker.

I have an apron from Cath Kidston, it looks nice and washes well - I do a lot of cooking.

Ulster Weavers has been popular this year on the Christmas bargain threads. Positive feedback from the posters who bought from them.

Some beautiful Japanese style crossover back linen aprons on Etsy from UK makers at around £35, I’d love one of those. Worth a look? I think one of the companies was called Wild Moth or something similar.

My mistake, it’s The Happy Moth, on Etsy.

Ulster Weavers look fab, must admit I am a bit of a fan of aprons so can see a purchase coming on! My favourite apron at the moment is imy William Morris print one, I think it came from Lakeland .

Yep, Ulster Weavers. That’s what we have and many years later still look good and going strong.

I can’t comment on the quality, but Free Prints do photo print aprons for £18. Might be a nice gift for a grandmother?

I actually love this, it's heavy duty and looks stylish, especially if she's into throwdown
