Warm Christmas drinks

December 1st is traditionally a day where my 6yo and I put up our Christmas tree, listen to Christmas music, eat lebkuchen and watch Buddy the Elf. He has declared that he wants us to make a 'special warm fruit Christmas' drink today (he has seen me drinking mulled wine in the past and loves the smell), however obviously not suitable for a 6yo! Can anyone recommend a non alcoholic drink that can be warmed, feels christmassy, and will be liked by a 6yo?

Hey Op , we warm mi wadi blackcurrant and add some honey and cinnamon or Xmas spices to it and it's a big hit with the kids in our house ! Obviously you can pick whatever flavour but it's really nice when heated up

Definitely the winter spice Ribena! It’s delicious.

Simmer some apples with cinnamon and honey. Delicious and sweet and the stewed apple is a nice dessert with some custard. Thank me later!

This sounds amazing! Trying to stay away from stuff like Ribena (nothing against it I just don't really like the taste of squash!) and more towards real fruit. Didn't even think of apples!

Hi OP, this is a staple in our house at Christmas time. Fruity punch, done in the slow cooker, smells amazing!

1 litre cranberry juice
500ml apple juice
125ml orange juice
55g brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
3 cinnamon sticks

Low 4 hours/High 2 hours. Enjoy!

In Germany every supermarket has "Kinderpunsch"which is a non alcoholic version of mulled wine made with grape juice. Maybe Aldi or Lidl would have this?

Or hot chocolate is a classic.

Agree with the cranberry, I've made non alcoholic mulled wine with a mixture of cranberry and orange juices and its lush. Put in slides of orange/stick of cinnamon/couple of star anise or whatever you would put in for your wine.
