Afternoon everyone

We have a pack of puzzles for kids that is free to download and print (no registration required). The pack contains several 'colour by number' pixel puzzles and kriss-kross puzzles where you fit words of different lengths into a blank crossword like space.

The puzzles themselves are Christmas-themed and can just be done as a fun thing or to keep kids occupied. There's also some underlying computer science involved in solving puzzles and if you want to sneak in a bit of learning about computational thinking and logic the teachers' notes can help you with that. For example pixel puzzles can also be used to talk about how computers store and send images using numbers to denote a pixel's colour etc.

Christmas Puzzles from CS4FN* – bumper pack to print (version for school teachers & home educators, A4 and US Letter sizes)))

There's one pack of puzzles but four formats: for UK folk use the A4 sized packs, for US folk use the US Letter sized packs. There's a pack in each size for home educators - for those most of the puzzles have the solution at the bottom which you can fold over or cut off before giving to your kid. For teachers the solutions are on separate pages (I can't imagine much enthusiasm for folding 30 bits of paper for a class!).

If your printer is black and white the colour-in puzzles also have the name of the colour, even if the palette turns out looking a bit greyscale.

One of the kriss kross puzzles is also a colouring in thing and there are two versions (one has a bit filled in so is slightly easier). There's also a free Christmas-themed colour in zine which you / kids can colour in and then follow the folding instructions.

Pretty much every time I start a new thread and include a link to the work blog my account gets suspended (!) so to show I come in peace here are all my previous posts :-)
