£5 Secret Santa

We have a Secret Santa going in work…due to cost of living etc it’s been agreed to stick to a £5 budget, which means it’s affordable and everyone is happy to take part. However… what can I buy?! I’ve drawn a lovely lady who I get on with brilliantly, but I don’t have a clue what to buy. She’s teetotal, vegetarian, arty, spends Christmas skiing in France, and is absolutely fab…so how can I do her justice with a fiver? All ideas gratefully received!

I'd go for the Piz Buin sun cream spf 50 and lip balm 2 in 1 - it's a perfect size for skiing and I always take one when I'm skiing. Might be £6. Or get spf lip balm if that's cheaper.

Or hand warmers are useful for skiing.

Or a nice bauble for the tree.

What kind of crafts does she like? You can get small cross stitch kits for similar to the budget

Boring but a £5 hobby craft voucher? Least she can pick something that works for her or put it towards something

Slightly over budget but I’ve just put a similar one in my Amazon basket.

Or as PP mentioned TKMaxx will have some nice bots and bibs around a fiver.

Ds and I went into b and m for family secret Santa gifts today

They had loads of really nice stuff for a fiver.

Packs of fluffy socks

Coffee sets - if you know she like syrups, costa etc there's loads that can meet required tastes.

Hot choc sets

Nice stationary/mug sets

Hand warming/ water nitrile/ wheat bag sets/ cuddlies

I brought my cousin a gonk biscuit "tin" it's ceramic and pink!

I think when you do secret Santa for a fiver everyone is expecting a pre packed box of something or a novelty gift.

Thanks so much everyone…I’ve actually gone against (some) advice and bought a candle…it’s a very nice ‘crackle’ one in a glass jar with a wooden lid.

(as an aside, in response to some comments, there is certainly no obligation to join in…one colleague has said they down want to, and that’s fine. They’re still included in everything else and nobody is holding it against them! As far as the affordability goes, this is why we’ve set it at a fiver. It’s a challenge to get something nice, but hopefully she’ll like it)
