Camera for ten year old

I’m looking to get DD who is 10 a camera. She’s had the various kiddizoom ones and instant print ones but now wants a more grown up camera (but we don’t want to get her a phone yet).
has anyone got any recommendations please?

I'd get her a basic digital camera something like this from Argos if your budget allows

Then set up a free prints account in your name and let her choose up to 50 prints a month to print (you just pay a bit of postage but probably cheaper to do this than constantly buy instax refils etc)

I bought my DS a Fuijifilm XP which is shock proof, waterproof, drop proof.

is second hand ok? They are £40 on eBay.

I met a young lad of 11 who had a full adult set up with interchangeable lenses etc He was fully into photography. Is now accompanying adults to sports events, dog competition events etc.

I guess it depends on how keen they are.
