Is Black Friday this week?

I want to get some Pokémon items for my dc and I am wondering if I should wait. My child doesn't think they will be in a BF deal. I'd like to save if possible but also don't want to risk them selling out. If they won't be, or I've missed it, I'll buy now. Thank you to anyone who can help🎄

What specifically are you looking for? Black Friday officially starts Friday but everywhere seems to have created a "black Friday week" so it'll depend on the item.

My kids have got Pokémon clothes in the black Friday sale.

  1. black Friday was last Friday
  2. you don't get good black Friday deals for Pokémon as a rule (trust me I keep an eye for them as I like Pokémon. It's a brand that sells without the need for deals)
  3. you've already missed any good deals there were because they sell out very very quickly indeed due to popularity.

Even pokémon games rarely have a lot discounted from them at any time of year. It's not a product that gets much in the way of discount.

Genuinely I love Pokémon and keep an eye for deals on Pokémon stuff and have done for years. You get the odd very occasional deal if you are lucky, but realistically you should just bite the bullet and pay the going rate at this point. Shopping around will probably get just as much off anyway as any 'discount'.

Black Friday is officially the 29th November so you haven't missed it as such but the sales always start before

JawsCushion · 25/11/2024 15:42

It is soft toys.

@RedToothBrush Black Friday is the 29th. However, a lot of the sales started last week.

TokyoSushi · 25/11/2024 15:44

It's officially on Friday, but it seems to be rapidly morphing into Black Friday Month, if your item is still in stock it's probably worth monitoring a little while longer for a discount.

It is soft toys.

No chance. Especially if it's one of the more popular characters.

Not this close to Christmas.

JawsCushion · 25/11/2024 15:53

I'd rather pay full price than risk them selling out but the total is nearly £40 so even 10% is a nice saving.

Black Friday is this coming Friday - it's always the day after Thanksgiving, which is the fourth Thursday in November.

JawsCushion · 25/11/2024 16:09

Is the advice just to buy them now?

OP posts:
MaltipooMama · 25/11/2024 16:17

If I were you I'd hold out and see on the off chance if they're reduced. I doubt they'll sell out, and like you said even if there's a 10% saving it's better than nothing!

MaltipooMama · 25/11/2024 16:18

What soft toys are you specifically looking for, OP? Is there a particular one you're after?

Cowboycorgi · 25/11/2024 16:24

Are you in the US?. If so, Target has some really good deals on Toys, including Pokémon

mondaytosunday · 25/11/2024 16:26

Yes but some Black Friday sales started at the beginning of the month.

JawsCushion · 25/11/2024 16:43

No I'm in the UK. I'd rather not say which, with apologies.

  1. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving so it's this coming Friday not last Friday.
slipperypenguin · 25/11/2024 22:23

Honestly I'd wait
