Stocking for tween girl

My tween DD hardly wants anything for Christmas.

I’m starting small and focusing on her stocking. I’m thinking some ‘special’ shampoo and conditioner, hair bobbles / claw clips, earrings, chocolate, some novelties maybe.

She is autistic. She loves cats and animals in general. Any suggestions for anything I’ve listed or any other ideas would be very welcome!

She has an older sibling with a Christmas list as long as my arm, and I really want to get DD a lovely lot of stuff, but at the moment I only have two books and a lip balm for her!

My advice would be if kids don't want much, don't get them much. What's the point in buying piles of stuff? Just get what she wants, and some treats she likes to eat, and that's plenty.

What about an experience? There are lots of options depending on where you are based, but you could get her a voucher for a Cat Cafe, or a Zookeeper for a day experience (Drusillas also do different animal feeding experiences, like sloths, if that is something that would appeal).

The RSPCA do lots of lovely tshirts, tote bags, water bottles etc with different animals on (including cats!) Kids | Official RSPCA Clothing

Jellycats are popular with a huge variety of ages at the moment. They have lots of cat themed ones, including this one Jellycat Fuddlewuddle Ginger Cat | Temptation Gifts

Lots of nice cat themed stocking fillers in Oliver bonas at the moment

For a practical, useful and beautifully-sized-to-slip-into-a-Christmas-stocking little gift, perhaps she'd like these cat-shaped paper clips?
(may well buy some for myself!)

Bonus point that they're from the Cats Protection charity, so she'd be happy about that too.

@MabelsBeats I get it you can buy one a mountain and the other 2 bits of nothing.

Does she like lego?
Music, would she be interested in learning an instrument?
Crafts?
Things for her room, speaker?
Tech, phone, tablet, headphones,
Tickets to something?

I've got tween DD a photo blanket of our cats. Or if you don't have your own cats, I have this blanket and it's lovely and soft. DD says it's the best blanket ever. (She has asd too)
If she'd manage, what about a needle felt cat kit?
My DD loves going to a cat cafe, if youve got one close by, could have a day out after Christmas?
There are a few Lego cat sets, we have a Lego friends cat hotel one. But there is a model cat, if she likes Lego?
DD is just getting into skin care so so maybe some skin care bits for her stocking? Could get a hair band/eye mask in a cat theme?? Or just a nice one. DD is getting reusable face cleaners and some nice face cleanser, moisturizer, lip gloss bits.
Cat socks! New look have some with Christmas hats on!

Does she have a charm bracelet? DD loves hers that she got for her birthday and she has an under the sea theme, but there are lots of animals ones your dd might like??

Dinodrivingacar · 21/11/2024 13:24

Exploding kittens, if you don't already have it. It's a fab game.

My tween dd is also autistic, and I have struggled this year!

She's obsessed with Sanrio (Hello Kitty etc) and thankfully the shops are full of it at the minute. I couldn't get anything unless I bought online from specialist shops the past few years!!

She's got HK lip gloss and child size press on nails from Primark, and a HK 'make it Miniverse' which seem to be really popular at the minute. Also some stickers and a Sylvanian Families blind bag. She's into body spray perfume at the minute and likes the 'So' brand ones which you can pick up pretty cheap at Superdrug. And also a Bubble Tea kit from B&M for just over £2 which is the perfect stocking size. Little plushies are also popular with her. She likes the Palm Pals ones from Claire's (saw them in store at 40% off for Black Friday today) and also 'Bum Bumz' which are from The Entertainer (also saw them reduced today!). Obviously Jellycats too but they are pricey.
