My DS has asked for an Xbox for Christmas and I'm trying to narrow down the best option.

From experience is it better to by the digital version or the disk option? If we go down the path of the digital version is it better to get the 512gb or 1tb console?

I'm swaying towards the digital 512gb simply down to price so would really like to know other people's ideas and experience please

I would get the best you can get so the series X with a disk drive as it has better graphics. If you have a disk drive you can buy and sell games in CEX and buy second hand you aren’t tied to the digital store. Also the more storage the better. It’s a really nice console which integrates well with a gaming PC and gamepass - free games for a monthly subscription is well worth it if he likes different sorts of games. But if he is only going to be playing Fortnite the cheaper all digital one will be fine.

Agree with above, get discs so you aren't limited and can trade. Get the biggest memory as it does seem to run up quite quickly. See if your work has a tech scheme. DP got his through that and pays monthly for it so gets whatever savings available there. X is the one to get.

Also get the monthly game pass. I'm a second hand user (DP and DC use it, I just watch tv on it) and a big thing is the gold pass that's maybe £10.99 or £15.99 a month, it actually works out less because the standard monthly membership is included (i.e it's not extra) and has some really good free games that are good for family time. Unravelled was great!

I'm not the best for advice as there's just this thing in my house but I hope that's made sense.

Always get the bigger storage option. But definitely the disc version. The digital versions are often more expensive
