Cheap GoPro type action camera

I’d like to buy something similar to a GoPro for 2 of my children but I didn’t realise how much the actual GoPro’s cost. Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative? One will be used for snowboarding and the other for cycling (London streets, safety precaution). Thanks

My son has this one. It's pretty good. Cost about 80 when we got it but has a deal on and is currently £67 at the moment.

We got one for DS from Amazon I think 2 years ago for @ £50 or thereabouts. He was very happy with it and it’s way cheaper than the go-pro.

@Slowgrowingelm I just checked my old Christmas lists and the one we got was Akaso sport action camera. I had a quick look on Amazon band they seem to start from @ £56 which is about what we paid in 2021 so not bad considering how prices have gone up in the last few years. I’d certainly recommend it, ds still uses it.

I got a GoPro on eBay. (Look around and make sure the photos aren't being used for multiple listings/seller reviews etc)
It came with batteries and accessories and was really reasonably priced

I’ve used Insta 360 from www.amazon.com/stores/Insta360/page/2A4E9629-9C41-48D0-B37A-F3A6CF3D74D9 for my son’s bike and skiing videos, and it's been surprisingly decent for the price. The quality’s better than I expected and it held up well on a snowy trip. If you're not after top-end features but still want something reliable with good footage, it's a nice place to look through.

Thank you. I ended up getting two from eBay, for my eldest and middle teens. Both worked really well and have been well used and appreciated!

We got a cheap action camera for my son last Christmas and it’s done the job really well for things like biking and skateboarding. He uses it a lot and the video quality has been surprisingly good for the price. The waterproof case that came with it works fine too, he even used it at the pool. It was under £30 and came with loads of mounts.
