Christmas alternative (winter)

I realised a few years ago that it's not Christmas I like it's more the feeling of being cosy in winter, the smell of someones fire in the air the candles the warm lights.

So this year I'm decorating for winter rather than all out Christmas. Anyone else doing similar?

For me it's about taking time to slow down, make sure I have some time to do some of the things I enjoy instead of being busy with everyone else's things year round and making our home feel calm and cosy.

No young dc at home so it's easier to not dash about.

If you enjoy winter what is it that you love maybe I can pinch a few ideas 😊

A good book to get lost in...

Off the top of my head I like the really cold or even rainy days when you don't have anywhere to be and can stay warm inside without feeling like you should be doing something or going somewhere. So you could stock up on any baking ingredients or crafts/ books that you like so they are there and ready for when you want them. And a candle of course.
