☕️TL;DR You can get five free beans at Costa when you sign up as a new user using my referral code and make your first purchase.

☀️Keeping the kids entertained during the summer hols can be expensive but I’ve always managed to organise a cheap half day with my kids by planning a morning or afternoon at our local library / park and building in a visit to Costa (which you can do cheaply if you read on).

You need 8 beans for a free drink, but you can achieve this very quickly by using the code below for 5 free beans, bringing a reusable cup (+2 beans) and ordering a drink via the app - this can be for less than £1 if you order a mini hot chocolate babyccino. (NB my kids are tweens and still often request the chocolate babyccino as it comes with free chocolate or marshmallows and is a much more reasonable size than the smallest normal hot chocolate).

Essentially, if you’re planning to go for a coffee or hot chocolate with friends or kids, you can set this up so you probably receive your free drink in one sitting.

Also bear in mind that Costa have an unlimited refer-a-friend scheme so you can go on to share with friends and earn your own beans. Each referral gets the referrer 5 beans 🤩.

🍾Before I share this referral, I should probably point out that you don’t need this. I don’t need it either but I want it!

After a weekend in a holiday spot watching more organised parents than me drinking wine from lovely tumblers and cool bags in the park of an evening, I decided I wanted some for myself. (Planning ahead for rest of summer ✅)

The trouble is the calories in most of their meals are very high, as are the fat levels. I doubt anyone could lose weight on Gousto unless it was their only meal of the day.

I think Gousto can support weight loss as you can select the low calorie meals and it also encourages portion control. I don’t use it for weight loss but we usually choose meals under 600 calories. They are a lot healthier than a takeaway and much tastier. 🙂

I’ve used Gousto sporadically in the last few years and agree with previous posters that I think they can support a healthy diet by making it quicker and easier to cook fresh meals and also support portion control.

i don’t think I ever selected ‘low calorie’ meals but I also can’t think of anything we had which was super high in calories or fat.

I don’t count calories anyway and am more interested in nutritionally balanced meals with a solid portion of protein and I think this was a good solution to keep me on track, and certainly healthier than alternative “low calorie” prepared foods.

but it does depend on your diet/nutrition/weight loss strategy I guess - horses for courses.
