Only buy what you need ...for the suckers

Ok my name's AndThereSheGoes and I am a sucker.

So far "bargains" I have bought :

3 stationary boxes that are clearly marked as subscription boxes so it looks like I am regifting ( and actually no one I am present buying for physically writes anything).

Solid bar shampoo and conditioner. Loads of it. Great for stockings, terrible as a main gift.

Candle sets. I don't have any random neighbours or teachers to give these too.

All in one credit card tools. Seemed like a good idea at the time but they are more like a cracker present this time of year.

My resolution this year is not to buy any crap just because it is a bargain. The Christmas bargain thread is a no-go. In previous years I have been a bit of a sheep and bought stuff just because.

Now every gift is bought with someone in mind and because I know that they will love it.

I am also avoiding the Bargain thread now. There's some good ideas but I'm not buying genetic crap because it's cheap or 3 for 2 and not having people in mind for all the gifts.
