Sausage roll buffet

Inspired by a MN username, I’m going to do a sausage roll buffet when friends come over with their DC. We have one pescatarian.

So far I have:
-Mushroom roll from Jamie Oliver Christmas book
-French smoked salmon puff pastry ring (not sausage roll but I like the sound of it)
-standard sausage roll
-other sausage roll, but what?
-pickled onions (2 sizes) and gherkins
-roasted peppers
-decorate your own Lebkuchen

How does that sound?

What can I do for the second sausage roll?

As I’ve repeatedly said to DH, this is all about the sausage rolls.

Cheese and pickle. Can I come too please? 😂

It needs to be cheesy - mini Brie and cranberry rolls?

Tuna and tomato/cheese/something

You are probably on it, but don't forget to add something "wet" to your sides/accompaniments.

I am not a massive sausage roll fan (don't hate them but will more often than not bypass if an option at a buffet) as I find them quite dry. I am happy as anything to eat with something to counterbalance the dry (tomato salad with lots of oil/balsamic, a good softish chutney,maybe some coleslaw). Otherwise all that pastry can "clag"...

I appreciate Lebkuchen don’t fit the theme, but I brought some Lebkuchen spice mix back from Munich this year so I could make my own. Plus the DC will enjoy decorating them. But we could try arctic roll too…

The Italian fennel sausage, Nigel Slater and added black pudding ones all sound tasty.

Piccalilli is essential really isn’t it? Anyone know of a good one?

I don’t want to make too much (ha!) as it’s 4 adults and 3 DC. And you lot obviously 😁
