Anyone know any cheaper alternatives? I like the quirky ones-the prawns and things-but they are insanely expensive!

You could try looking online for Softlings.

I have "Dippy" the boiled egg, very similar to Jellycat - he is soft and has a nice wee face.

I got him from Tesco but I'm not sure if they have them all the time.

In all honesty if you are gifting it to someone only the originals will do really

I got a couple of dupes on Ali Express. Wasn't expecting much but they are actually really good.

Hobbycraft has some similar, £5 each or 3 for £12. Bakery, veg & drink versions which all look a similar vibe to jellycats.

Dupes will be fine for what I want!

If they are for children, do bear in mind safety standards if planning on buying off the likes of AliBaba. A recent investigation found 80% of toys bought off online platforms didn't meet EU safety standards.
