The man who has everything….

……but enjoys receiving something 😩

my husband is the worst to buy for. He has enough of his own money (& expensive taste!) to buy whatever he wants but always says he likes to do gifts but I try to discourage it as I find him immensely difficult.

I would like to surprise him with some stocking items and so far have; Aesop hand cream, fortnums cinder toffee and a pack of happy socks.

any ideas for the men who enjoy luxury items but have everything?

in case anyone wonders what his interests are they are coffee and running but I wouldn’t dare to buy anything as he has it all, and if he doesn’t he carefully considers his purchases as he likes to buy once but buy well. I wouldn’t even buy him a pack of running socks or beans as he does so much research into what he buys that it wouldn’t be ‘right’!

I got my partner a metal detector last year. Very random but he loves it!

I wouldn’t try to match his expensive tastes other than for something like good socks such as Paul Smith.

Instead, I’d maybe just go for local beers and foodie stuff and then something a bit more personal such as song lyrics in a frame or a framed photograph of somewhere he enjoyed visiting, for example.

My Husband is the same and over the years I have given him
A trip to Paris for an afternoon cookery class
A 3D Darth Vader pen holder
F1 tickets
Blue suede jacket which he has surprisingly worn a lot
Mini bonsai that I ended up caring for and it died anyway
Chili plant

This year I’ve threatened to give him a bag of coal.
