Dolls House

My DD is 7 and has a Barbie dream house plus some sylvanian families but she loves toys with tiny intricate pieces and asked me tonight whether I thought she might get a new dolls house for Christmas full of 'tiny things'. Can anyone recommend or think of a sort of grown up, vintage dolls house that would be worth having in addition to the things above? I like the idea of getting her something she could keep and treasure forever, maybe to pass on to her own children in years to come but that she could also play with now.

Thanks!

Whilst I think it is a lovely idea to keep a dolls house, when she gets to 13/14 she wont wish to have it in her room and will no doubt want it going somewhere else!
Polly Pocket houses have very small intricate pieces and aren't overly expensive.

If you decide to go for it (i still have my dolls house things and still love it ever since i was little) - Dolls House Emporium is relatively affordable stuff and nice quality. Dolls houses often go for small amounts, as people just want the house space back, so look in ebay under “nearest first”.

If you don't want to use up the space, get some bundles or joblots on ebay of furniture, accessories, figures and let her populate the houses she already has? i loved the silver candle sticks and lamps that really light up way more than the houses they went in.
