Switch game for 5 year old?

Can anyone recommend a switch game for a 5 year old who has never played video games before (although has played games on the tablet where you swipe things). Obviously the answer is none - there's no need for a kid this young to be gaming.

However, the switch is being called a family present as I don't want it belonging to a single DC and therefore I need the youngest to feel included.

Bonus marks if it can be educational or improving in any way! (Boring mum alert). Thanks

Not educational but my daughter loves the Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures game. She got it for Christmas last year (when she was 5) and it was a firm favourite.

Just Dance has been a firm favourite for years here (bonus points because it knackers them out). My DC never used to care what kind of points they got at that age, they just liked copying the dancers.

Animal crossing

Animal Crossing or Mario kart.

I'd say Mario cart.
Animal crossing is prob a bit too complex
For a 5yr old imo.

We have super Mario party. My 5yo loves playing this.

Bluey?

Animal crossing is very text based so unless they are particularly advanced with their reading I wouldn't say its a great choice for a 5 year old.

Mario kart would be an obviously choice. Bluey also have a game out if they are a fan.

Yoshi's Crafted World is very easy and one of the first games I bought for my son. Also agree with Mario Kart - good for playing with family as you can set a speed level and it also helps ones at the back move forward with good extras in the boxes!

Animal Crossing is lovely but agree LOTS OF TEXT - so unlike to be suitable until 7.

Mario party/mario cart. Great family fun!

Thank you all. Lots to consider. He's quite a good reader for 5 but we're talking Dogman level not Harry Potter. Appreciate all the responses.

The Lego games are very good, especially once you've finished the story and unlocked everything. DS is 6 and loves driving around in Lego City Undercover!
