Subscription boxes

I’m debating getting a subscription box for my 8 year old. Can anyone recommend any? Any that weren’t so good? Is GirlBe any good?

Or are any of the subscription magazines worth getting for children?

And for adults- are there any that you think are good for a gift? I know that interests and hobbies vary- just trying to get inspiration really and it may help others too.

Thanks!

Art, Draw and Create is a brilliant magazine for an 8yo. Lots of fun/interesting stationery and some great projects.

My 8 year old enjoys her subscription to national geographic. What kind of things is your 8 year old into?

Thank you! I’ll have a look at Art, Draw and Create. Not heard of that one before. National Geographic sounds interesting too. She’s into anything and everything, which gives more possibilities, but makes it harder in other ways.

Sugar & Sloth have a great one, really cute stationery and enamel pins, badges etc that are made in the UK.

They have a sweary version for adults (lol) but the Family Friendly version is great for kids.

I actually got the boxes for me, but my 8 yr old steals them every month!

There's colouring sheets and the illustrator is really lovely on Instagram.

It's wrapped in lovely tissue paper instead of loads of plastic too.
