Looking for popular solo board games/card games for a teenager. Looking for something not more than £20.

My nan used to play patience with a deck of cards on her own.

I don't know any solo board games but a hopeful bump for you.

Single player games are always tricky - I’ve been looking for some and haven’t found much that’s genuinely designed for the solo player.

What about something like this?

Thanks for this. He's had a few of these in the past. It is tricky - even the adventure books games seem to be for more than 1 player

What about one of those murder mystery cases from Cryptic Killers? They’re £20 on Amazon but I’ve found good quality second hand for cheaper on Vinted.

Cluedo has a murder mystery type board game that is great fun for one player. But once it's done, it's done, so it's pretty expensive!

Things like the EXIT or Unlock series (sort of like an escape room at home) can usually be done solo. Or roll/flip and write games can be played solo (e.g. Railroad Inc). I like MicroMacro Crime city and we also have Coffee Roaster which is quite fun.
