Christmas table settings

I’ve got to the age of 53 and never set my table in a Christmassy way except for putting crackers on it. This year I fancy being poncey and having some matchy table settings. Does anyone have tips or inspiration? I have 2 tables- one in the open plan kitchen, which is modern which we use day to day and is generally used for feeding the baby and toddler grandchildren and then a dining room which is where we would just set it for Christmas dinner. I’d like to do the kitchen one for the little ones and have it through December for multiple north pole breakfasts.

I have budget of around £200, and want to buy things I can use forever. One of my happiest memories was setting the Christmas table with my gran each year, and it all being the same each time.

it’s so lovely to finally have h th e headspace to think about this sort of thing!

These are great value https://www.dunelm.com/product/set-of-2-gold-snowflake-placemats-1000226828?defaultSkuId=30838828 I got some a couple of years ago and they’re good quality.

This year I’ve just bought these to match https://www.waltonshop.co.uk/snowflake-napkin-gold-set-of-p-5370.html
