M has the following:
Night hoodie, gaming hoodie, gaming pillow,
Gaming headset, 9 Wii games , Wii fit will consol, hover board. Tv

E has: night hoodie gaming blanket, gaming pillow, gaming headset, ps5 console, scooter.tv

I'm not thinking so much about the value. I feel like M has more than E. I'm debating if I should put the Wii stuff as a joint gift.

Ignore the snotbags sneering because your kids aren't getting paint-free fun-free worthy wooden toys for Christmas. Presumably you know what will make them happy.

I'd get a couple of extra bits for E just to even things up.

Needmorelego · 02/11/2024 22:16

@Bazinga007 a secondhand Wii is great. You can get the games so cheap it's much more fun.
If that's what the child wants - what is wrong with that?

Sunshine1500 · 02/11/2024 22:15

as long as they both have games to play on their new consoles, don’t worry, they’ll hopefully share and you can play family games too !

I think that's what will happen naturally. That's why I considered the wiil as a joined gift. But I probably won't. They will definitely both have games

My daughters Wii cost 20 quid from a charity shop and I don't think we've ever spent more than 3 quid on a game. So the OPs child who wants a Wii is hardly spoilt.
(@Xmasasking it's a good choice - I prefer Nintendo to Xbox).

@Xmasasking yes I think maybe a couple of Xbox games would be good if you can get some cheap.

My kids loved us all playing wii together years ago, it was much nicer playing together rather than ps5 playing online with a headset .
hope they all enjoy!

It cost me 40.00 for everything, I think that's good for the amount.

@Xmasasking if you haven't got Mario Kart as one of the games - get it ! It's my favourite.
Get LOTS of AA batteries. The controllers do eat them up.

For the ps5?

@Xmasasking sorry for the Wii.
(Although probably the PS5 too.... always best to have more batteries than you need 🙂)

Don’t bother with batteries..get the charger station for them instead.

Ah I don't have the wheel thing for the Wii I don't want to get one at the moment 🤣

OP posts:
Needmorelego · 02/11/2024 22:51

@Xmasasking I did buy a couple of the wheel things for Mario Kart but I found I could control better with just the regular controllers.
Not that my control is very good - if there's a wall to crash into or a cliff to drive off - I do it 😂😂

@Xmasasking as I said upthread the Wii is brilliant because you can get the games so unbelievably cheap (although oddly extra controllers seem expensive....🤔)

Is this a joke post because that's the saddest wtaf list I've ever seen

Why

OP posts:
Kibble29 · 02/11/2024 23:51

I think people should note that the OP didn’t ask for opinions on the genre of giffs being given. Clearly her kids are heavily into gaming (and are also being given a scooter/hoverboard) and will no doubt enjoy every minute of their new stuff.

I bet her kids won’t be sad when they unwrap them on Christmas morning. They’re her kids, she’ll know them best.

Fair enough

Not totally equal but then not equal the other way if they share the Wii and games. So you can buy a few months of PlayStation Plus it’s their subscription model. It comes with three free games every month. Simple.

I suggest PlayStation Plus too.
My now adult DC were and still are gamers and would have loved those presents..

Chasingsquirrels · 03/11/2024 08:42

Definitely don't need the wheel thing for the Wii, we had one but both my boys preferred to play with just the controller.
