Christmas decorations

I’m looking for some decorations that are rather modern but traditional & ideally in the colours green, white and gold. Just wondering if anyone has an idea of where I can find some that’s reasonably priced. It’s our first Christmas in our own house with our first baby & want to make it a special one. I don’t want to be spending a fortune but I want to be able to use them all year round so don’t want them to be too Christmassy… 😊

Christmas decorations that can be used all year round?

MrsMitford3 · 01/11/2024 21:20

When you said decorations I thought you meant for the tree but am confused by year round use-what are you looking for?

Attelina · 01/11/2024 21:23

I've never heard of all year round Christmas decorations!

Like fireplace decorations or things to put on like the TV unit.
I have a picture in my head but it’s really hard to explain but I’m looking for like tea light holders I’ve found a lot in the Christmas section that are in the shape of like houses and I know I’d be able to use them all year round.

Christmas decorations that can be used all year round?

I think I’ve worded it wrong I’m looking for decorations that I can buy in like the Christmas section that could be used all year. Like candles, and ornaments that would go on a TV unit or a fireplace. Both of the images attached are things I’d use all year round but they are sold as part of the Christmas range. It’s things like this that I’m searching for..

Exactly like that ! Thank you. I’m hoping you can understand what I’m looking for. I don’t seem to be too great at explaining what I’m looking for

@CJ98 Sostrene and grene a perfect place to look!!

You can also do things like buy fake snow and put it round the houses etc

MrsSunshine2b · 01/11/2024 22:04

So you're not looking for Christmas decorations, you're looking for household decor?

I have a big glass vase and I've sometimes filled it with Christmas baubles before (at non-Christmas times). I had a collection of brown and black textured round decorations which looked quite nice in them.

MrsMitford3 · 01/11/2024 22:06

@CJ98 I am obsessed!! So brilliant.

No idea where you are but they are opening shops like mad.
Love them!!

That’s kind of the idea I’m looking for.

The Range

MrsMitford3 · 01/11/2024 22:12

Very jealous as I am desperate for them to come to me....

Losingit2024 · 01/11/2024 22:21

Agree with Sostrene Grene - I love it and so much can be used year round for making your house cosy.

We have a set of metal houses from cox and cox that were in the Christmas section but we keep up all year. They are 3 different sizes so can fit different sized candles and I use the big one to store all the candle 'bits' like the lighter and lids off jars so the mantle looks tidy!

The website is absolutely amazing. I’ve just done a shop & that’s my kind of idea. I want my house to feel cosy & I’ve found the only time decorations & ornaments like that come out is around Christmas time. I’m so glad you understand what I was looking for
