Some kids are obsessed with dinosaurs, cars, superheroes, Lego etc. My son isn't really obsessed with anything, or doesn't necessarily have a favourite thing. He has all the things I mentioned above, plus lots more! Yet he would actually rather play with the plastic box that the LEGO comes in 😂.

So im struggling what to get him for Christmas. I've already bought a fort building kit and his first scalextric. Still want to get him a few more little bits but I'm at a loss now.
Anyone else have a child similar, if so what did you buy them that they actually played with?

The cardboard playhouses at Hobbycraft are half price at the moment https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/kids/toys-games/colour-in-playhouses/ They’re such good value for money.

My DS really loved kinetic sand and this kit was his favourite but there are others https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8097778

He also had a toy workbench with all the tools which got a lot of play

We bought a Tonie box last year for our then 3 year old. He now uses it every day.

Train set? Duplo (rather than Lego)? Sticklebricks? A tent? Paints/chalkboard/easel?

Play doh? A slide or seesaw type thing for the garden?

Following for ideas for my 3 year old. Got him so roleplay things for his toy kitchen and some kinetic sand but I'm stuck now!

Dressing up stuff? My 3 yo loves her dressing up box, she has things like a pirate hat and eye patch, builders helmet and goggles, doctors coat etc.

Agree with PPs saying kinetic sand and play doh though, she can play for ages with that. Going to get her a new play doh set for Christmas, maybe one of the kitchen or ice cream type ones.

Art supplies are also on my list. New crayons, paints and different shaped Sponges and stencils. Planning a trip to hobbycraft for this.

A slide or trampoline for the garden

New books - I've picked up a few about things like the world, the body (with flaps!), interesting things like that that she is starting to ask questions about!

New puzzles - Disney or Julia Donaldson are a hit in our house so going to get some with more pieces.

A game you can all play? We got pop up peppa and peppa snap for her 3rd birthday so I'm planning to look along those lines again for Christmas; something that you can easily explain but is age appropriate (we found snap perfect) but that you can enjoy too.

I’ll suggest orchard toys, there’s such a variety & they’re ever so good.

my DS (3 in feb) is getting a speed track as he’s obsessed with cars, Vtech marble rush starter set, pop up pirate, tools, scooter

Yoto player. They are brilliant, love ours, used daily for years.
