Murder mystery weekend gift

Bit of a strange gift maybe! I have two adult sons with girlfriends and they have just about most things they want. I decided to do something different and send them on a murder mystery weekend sometime in the New Year. They love the escape room things, like going out as a foursome so it could be a fun gift…hopefully!
Last year I sent them to see The Woman in Black at the theatre and that was a hit.
We live in the north west so should probably get a booking in this area. Does anyone have any recommendations? If you went on one of these trips, did you enjoy it?
I am open to suggestions too! If you went on a memorable evening/weekend with entertainment, please share!
I may regret it and wish I’d given money instead but I’d like them to think I put a bit of thought into their gift.

Any have any recommendations for this in south wales too?

It's not murder mystery weekend but I think lots of people have enjoyed "the mousetrap" which I know is on in the West End but it might also have a UK tour? It's an Agatha Christie play and the ending is meant to be kept a secret when you leave the theatre.

My son bought my husband and I faulty towers dining experience. It was great fun and you get dinner too.

@Ahwig oh that sounds fab! Where was it? Although I think I’d enjoy that more than them because I used to watch the show.

DH bought me this as a virgin experience gift. There are locations all over the uk. We have booked ours in Chester for the weekend before Christmas. It's Christmas themed. I can't wait

MammaGnomes · 12/10/2024 20:07

It comes with dinner, an overnight stay and breakfast

It's the Brook Mollington Banastre the company is Murder 57

We recently did a Murder 57 break too and I can highly recommend them; really enjoyed it.
If you sign up for their emails they might sent you a discount code.

I did a murder mystery night for my birthday and absolutely loved it. My husband is desperate to do another one. The one we did came with a 3 course meal, hotel stay, and breakfast.

We've found The Killing Game murder weekends v good. Off to our 4th soon. We generally go once a year. They run them at hotels around the country. I will add a link later.

For something a bit cheaper and to do at home, type Murder Mystery Case File into Amazon. (Sorry, I had to remove the link)

Sunbeds · 21/10/2024 19:13

I’m loving these ideas!
