As the title says really, I had a quick look in the works but was not inspired. Not into crime or thrillers. I am looking for a feeling good Christmas themed read

I love "High Rising" by Angela Thirkell. Very light, very charming.

Bit corney, but A Christmas Carol. Love it. Especially so since seeing the wonderful stage adaptation with the marvellous and much underrated, I think, Nicholas Farrell and equally marvellous Mark Gaitiss.
Read it several times over the years but with those two speaking the lines in my head, it’s even better.

I have re-read this every yr without fail since a child (can get on ebay), also christmas carol. Anything by Trisha Ashley is lovely. Nigel Slater Christmas Chronicles - whole thread to read along with for this.

Another vote for a Christmas Carol. I've read it a few times but might look for an audio version this year. I've seen R4 had a Dickens Season about to start so they will probably have it on BBC Sounds.

I read Christmas on the island by Natalie Norman last year and really enjoyed it. Very Hygge and cosy as it’s set in Norway if I can remember rightly!
