Beautiful Christmas cards

I’m not sending as many Christmas cards as usual this year. But I have a hankering to send some gorgeous cards instead of from a box from the supermarket.

Does anyone have any inspiration or ideas of where to buy beautiful Christmas cards?

Me neither, really. There's a relative I recently reconnected with after a long time. Would like to send a special card. I think a present would be too much at this tentative stage. And I would like to start sending them more often, I never really did, but I think it's nice. I know I would appreciate one. Maybe could start doing it with my nieces and nephews. Do little kids like getting cards ? I can't remember. I do know my son has always kept his from quite a young-ish age, in a little box in his bedroom cupboard.

Yeah,I have an uncle who lives quite far away. We always send a card to eachother and he always writes me a lovely letter inside too. I'm looking forward to making his this year 🙂
My boys have always liked to receive cards and have kept them all from family members each year.

Card Factory have gorgeous Art Deco cards. I buy them every year.

Some great suggestions here!

@ChangedmyMindNotUsingMyRealName Kids love receiving post - an envelope with their name on is very exciting!

In that case, I'm going to get some lovely cards and write a christmas note in and mail them to them, with green ink on the envelope.

Can you make your own?

I always buy my cards from Etsy.

I’m afraid not because I’m not crafty in that way, and they’d be absolutely rubbish! I’d have fun doing them but the end result wouldn’t be a beautiful card 😁

Rachel Spelling (Studio Spelling on Instagram) is doing the Fortnum & Mason card again this year. She does beautiful miniature paintings on paint sample cards. 24 lovely little paintings for Advent. I bought the cards last year and they were gorgeous.

Depending how much you want to spend, Smythson, Mount Street Printers and The Wren Press are all very special but expensive. Also Paula Skene if you can find her in the UK.
