Every year my group arranges a secret Santa evening where we all prepare a shoe box filled with goodies based on a theme to give to someone else in the group - it's not for a specific individual but could be anyone there on the evening.

This year's theme is '1924' and I'm a bit stumped for ideas - anyone got any inspiration for me?

Milky Way chocolates. Edwin Hubble discovered ours wasn’t the only Milky Way in 1924. Or Galaxy bars, on a similar theme.

There's a Wikipedia article on music in 1924. Rhapsody in Blue was premiered, so maybe a blue theme. There are loads of titles you might be able to tie in with something easy to buy.

A book published in 1924, or again use a title as an inspiration for a theme.

A snack food/chocolate bar/sweets that were eaten in 1924 (basically anything invented before 1924).

How literal does it have to be? Can you do 1 of something, 9 of something else, 2 of a third thing and 4 of a fourth thing? So one mug, 9 chocolates, 2 jars of coffee, 4 teabags for example

1924 was Paris Olympics and first winter Olympics... Wind up racing toys, desktop basketball or some other game, potato gun, swimming googles

Edwin Hubble found Andromeda to be another galaxy and that the milky way is only one of many galaxies.... Milky way choc bars, buy a star teddy (I know it's really fake), glittery nail polish, glow in the dark stars we had when we were kids

Marlin Brando was born... Godfather trilogy, an orange and a horses head ripped off a my little pony

Apparantly cherry ripe was launched in Australia in 1924. You can currently buy this in B&M (it's chocolate)

Kleenex and Tizer also launched in 1924

Great stuff! Keep them coming!

It's totally free how I interpret the them - looking at about a 50€ spend
