Shark tracking bracelet

Anyone had one of these? Was wondering if my kids might enjoy it. Does the bracelet actually enable the tracking somehow or you get a bracelet as a gift along with the tracking details iyswim. Is it all a big con?

My daughter had one for a turtle named Pudding. It was really interesting to track where she had been! One day the tracking stopped 😭 but I think you get allocated another turtle/ shark.

The bracelet was just a bracelet - you'd need a phone to track.

I got loads of these for dd, she has a penguin, a turtle, a shark and a dolphin.

The bracelet is just a token gift, it comes alongside a code and an app, and you follow them on the app.

It's a really cute little present.

As others have said, it’s a code for an app/website, with the bracelet just being a keepsake.

That said, my kids (late teen) loved them!

If it’s for the Fahlo ones there are loads of offers. I think I paid about £4-5 each including delivery.

How bizarre our turtle was also named pudding....

We got a few last year on a cheap deal, I actually just like the bracelets but the tracking can be fun too!

I did look for another but can't see any deals without extortionate postage!

I’ve got two! Both Secret Santa gifts because everyone knows how much I love sharks really thoughtful little gifts, and I like that some of the funds go towards conservation efforts.

There was a thread on here previously that stated Fahlo is the only genuine one. There are lots of Chinese knock offs that claim to be sponsoring animals but it's not true. That was a while ago so perhaps there are more genuine ones around now but I was looking at a wolf one recently and when I dug into each site, they were all based in China and couldn't prove their credentials.

The Fahlo ones are good though. My sister wears the bracelet but didn't take the QR code with her when she relocated so she has no idea where her turtle is.
