I am on the hunt for a nice pair of earrings for my Grandmother for Xmas. Need to be gold (not plated) going for a hoop earring (see photo) trying to stay under £80 (up to £100 if pressed). Can anyone help me??

I've tried them before but I have had trouble, first pair I bought was a child's pair even though they said they were adults, then the next pair were only gold plated, they claimed not to be.

I think at your price pint you are unlikely to get gold earrings that are not gold plated. Have you looked at vintage/pre-loved jewellery?

Any good? Reviews look positive.

I've bought from this website (Pia) before. Items i bought weren't gold but what i have bought as gifts were lovely. Looking for gold hoops there's a few options and it's clear in description if they are gold/gold plated etc. You can also get 10% off your first order by signing up for their emails (it's at the bottom of the page)

They might not be what you're looking for,but hope you find something lovely somewhere for your Grandmother!! Xx

I have they same earrings got em from my mum 2 years ago they were from QVC. I doubt you'll get a gold pair new for 80 that size not under 200 but you could try going on eBay as a lot of people are desperate to sell unwanted gifts especially earrings. I only found this post because I typed in ugly earrings for Xmas what can I do as I can't send em back. The ones I'm selling are huge hoops a mm wide but yeah try eBay check the reviews on the seller and you should be fine.
