I know it’s a but early but money’s tight so I need to be organised and I’m on mat leave so I’ve got too much time to think Grin

My lo is going to be 5 months at christmas. Any suggestions for age appropriate gifts?

Put money to one side as you don’t know what will be given to you. If you have family who will be buying gifts then I would buy some thing like a keep sake teddy and then a sippy cup and spoons for weaning for the stocking.

For toys, especially at this age join a local facebook babies children toy selling page.

Years pass for a local farm/soft play/etc

I got my baby some lovely silicone blocks and bath toys from tk maxx last year. The brand was Liewood and were really nice quality and worked well in his stocking. Not expensive either, maybe £5 each. Tk maxx is also good for baby books.

Tomy eggs. Provide tons of fun for a long time!

Stacking beakers are an excellent toy that will be played with for years

I second the Tomy eggs. They are great. For my daughter’s 1st Christmas we spent £20. They don’t need lots of presents. How about a bath book, toys, board book stacking cups?

might still be a bit young but our 7 month old loved his ball pit and still does. Usually lots on fbmp!

My oldest was 5 months on her first Christmas!

A special teddy with the year on the foot - ours was from the Disney store but Hamleys do them too.

We also got her a jumperoo - she couldn't use it until Feb but then she loved it.

Anything else she'll grow into - have a look at toys recommended for 6m+

Mine also loved her tummy time roller.

At that age they don't know it's christmas so I'd go with mostly practical things that you'd be buying anyway if money is tight.....next size of vests and sleepsuits, toothbrush, plate/bowl/beaker seat and baby spoons.
