Ordered a fake Christmas tree - Mistake?

On Jan 2nd I pre-ordered a lovely looking, but a bit expensive, artificial Christmas Tree with lights. I've just been browsing the Christmas pages on the Country Living website and now feel regret.

My thinking when I ordered was although the husband and Dd like a real tree, all the details and decorating is left to me. Plus I thought pre-lit would be a great idea.

I failed to take into account the fact that I adore a Nordman Fir.🙄It's due to be delivered end of August and I think I'm going to have massive regret.

Has anyone transitioned back to an artificial tree after literal years of buying fresh ?

Did you regret it? Did it make life easier?

I suppose it pushed me into getting my new build loft boarded for extra storage at least.

Any thoughts on artificial trees and making them look fab?

I've had a fake one from Next for 25 years. I like it as its in a weighted wicker pot.
I've also got a smaller nordman fir growing in a large garden pot in the garden. (I find they survive better if kept in a shady area.) I bring it in and decorate it at Christmas, then put it back in the garden. I move it into a bucket just for Christmas as the garden pot is too heavy. I bought it January 23 (a lot cheaper then) and it's looking healthy still.

I think that tree looks lovely! We have an artificial one with lights and if you spend the time putting them up and fanning out the branches and pines then people always think it’s real.

I really recommend buying sentscicles to hang in the tree for the right scent. I use the Christmas Tree ones and the smell is really realistic.

I think that tree is lovely. A few years ago I bought a realistic looking tree from Bslsam Hill in the sales and it's so much easier than having to deal with pine needles (also have cats so real isn't possible). But last year I did buy a potted real tree and put it outside in the front garden, with lights. After Christmas I re potted it and it's been a genuine joy to see it grow and thrive. It's a permanent fixture outside my house now and in autumn I will put orange lights on if I can find some.
