London- Lights and shop window displays

When do the Christmas lights get turned on, and the shop windows decorated?

Are there any shops that are famous for being the best? Or areas in London for that matter.

Thank you.

Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly is usually special, inside and out

Fortnum and mason always have a lovely display, then obvs selfridges and harvey nicks too.

Covent garden always has nice displays

It's usually around mid-November isn't it?

Carnaby Street is usually good and we always go to see the front of Annabels.

The Carnaby St lights were the best last year

Thank you for all the quick replies. I’m planning a couple of nights in London, flexible about dates, but didn’t want to book too early.

Would I be safe with the end of November?

I’ve just used my brains 🙄 , googled and answered my own question about the date!
Thanks for the recommendations.
