Test your early bought Christmas electronics

It possibly has been said elsewhere but if you buy any electronics early test them before packing them away. I've had people tell me they bought things early, put them away for Christmas only for them not to work on Christmas day and also be passed the return date or at least makes it more difficult to get a return.

I also get Alexa to remind me the 1st week in Nov to buy batteries.

Absolutely, I think many of us have been caught by this.

Also worth checking items in boxs. I bought my dd a gift last year but didn’t open the box and take the item out. On Christmas day she was devastated it was broken. But it was way past any return as it wasn’t bought from a big retailer and I had no idea where the receipt was.

Also, it was a hard call if I opened the box as my dd may have decided she didn’t want to open it as she collects new in box collectibles, some she opens and displays, some she opts to keep new in box as the value increases on them.

So although it’s good to check, make sure what your checking isn’t devaluing the gift if your buying something someone collects.

@ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS good point. My DS1 will be 2yrs and DS2 will be 3 months so we are a while off collectables but I will keep that in mind as they get older. I am more so thinking of the remote control tractor I was looking at
