Wintering - this side of Christmas

I really love Autumn and the first half of winter, and all the preparations for Christmas, even though it’s stressful too. This half of the winter feels a bit harder though - I’m not quite ready for spring flowers and often the coldest spell is still to come. January can be a bit of a moany month too.

Anyone got any little rituals, or tips or tricks for enjoying this last month and a half of winter?

How is everyone's wintering going?

@17caterpillars1mouse Ok, thanks. It's been a miserable, rainy month here - the old farmers used to call it 'February Fill-the-Dyke' when we were kids, and that's what it's felt like! I'm slightly envious of anyone who has had snow instead of rain, as I prefer that.

On days like today where it's dry I've got outside whenever possible, trying to boost my Vitamin D levels. I've also embraced cosy evenings with a log fire, a book and quite a lot of cake...

We’ve had weeks of rain - although the Sun suddenly shone today! My main misery is walking the dog in mud, so much mud everywhere! So that means washing her feet and the muddy towels sigh….

I know it sounds pathetic but I just don’t have the energy or tolerance for it at the moment.
I did make it to a yoga class today though, so that’s a win.
